Sam has a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biomedical Science. He has an interest in the relationship between urban environments and health, particularly the intersections between the built environment, transport, air quality, climate change, and health. His thesis investigated how future urban development in Tāmaki Makaurau might affect population exposure to traffic-related air pollution. In his free time, Sam enjoys playing tennis, travelling, hiking, and spending time outdoors.
